Flexible Sessions to Suit Every Family
Lutley Kindergarten offers a range of flexible session options for children aged 2 to 5 years, designed to support both learning and family life.
We are open term time only, offering morning, afternoon, and all-day sessions, with funded places available for eligible families.
Our goal is to make high-quality early years education accessible, flexible, and affordable for everyone.
Session Times
Lutley Kindergarten is open Monday to Friday during school term time only and closed for half terms, Christmas, Easter, and summer holidays.
We generally follow the local Halesowen school term dates to help families plan consistently with nearby schools.

Funded Childcare for 2, 3, and 4 Year Olds
Lutley Kindergarten supports government-funded childcare schemes to help families access early years education. We work in partnership with parents to ensure flexible and transparent use of funding.
Time for Two’s
Eligible families with 2-year-old children can apply for up to 15 hours of free childcare per week during term time.
Funding begins the term following the child’s second birthday.
15 Hours Universal Funding
All children aged 3 and 4 are entitled to 15 hours of free childcare per week during term time,
Funding begins starting the term after their third birthday.
30 Hours Extended Funding
Working parents of 3 and 4 year olds may be eligible for an additional 15 hours of free childcare, bringing their total to 30 hours per week. This can be used across our Monday–Thursday full days and Friday morning sessions (29 hours total).
Additional or Paid Sessions
We also welcome children who attend privately funded sessions or use a mix of funded and paid hours. Our flexible structure allows parents to extend hours beyond their funding entitlement, subject to availability. Please contact us directly to discuss fees and session options to suit your family’s needs.
There are no hidden charges or additional fees for each session. As a charity run organisation, we kindly invite families to make a small contribution each term to cover consumables and costs for extra curriculum activities.
We recommend applying early to secure your preferred sessions, especially if you plan to use funded hours or all-day places, as availability is limited.
Whether you’re looking for morning sessions, full days, or funded childcare options, our friendly team is happy to help you plan the best fit for your family.
